After searching high and low through various stores and websites for a professional, durable and precise paper trimmer I was pleasantly surprised when I came across this product.
As an avid paper crafter I needed a paper trimmer that would hold up to the abuse I would inflict on it regularly. The self sharpening blade, solid wooden base, and sturdy joint mechanism exceeded my requirements and I couldn’t be happier with the product. The metric and imperial measurements are also a relief to see as I use both systems interchangeably.
The paper trimmer does cut accurately providing paper is firmly held in place and correctly algined up whilst trimming. I have been able to achieve thinner cuts, providing cuts are slow and firm otherwise slippage is possible.
Although a little more expensive than most other consumer paper trimmers on the market, its well worth the investment if you need precise long cuts, or have a multitude of paper craft projects.
Works Great After a Little Maintenance – Sanford Sharp – IL
The Premier W24 paper cutter is a very solid, well constructed product. Due to its solid wood construction it’s not light by any means, but it’s very stable when cutting several pieces of paper or matboard. The width marking on the ruler are accurate and the blade cuts cleanly. My only construction related concern is that the safety clamp, which keeps the blade in the down and locked position, is too flimsy. The slightest touch will release the spring loaded blade back into the up and ready to cut position.
The other problem had to do with the initial production quality of the cutter. Two screws from the metal cutting guide were stripped. I was able to find 2 longer screws and tighten the metal cutting guide myself, but the product would have been unusable as purchased.

Works very well and I appreciate the blade locking mechanism so I’m happy with my purchase but for the price, I would like to have seen something better then a particle board base – either hardwood or plywood.
Paper cutter – Dale Carlquist –
Works much better than the rotary paper cutters (don’t purchase rotary for precision work). Is solid, well made, American product. Perfect for photo use. You can not, however, make ultra small cuts with it (or with any cutter type that I know of)… if you try to remove approximately 1/16″ or less from a sheet (you need to get it right the first time), it will tend to just fold over the edge of the paper. I was very pleased with the company that sold on the Amazon web site (not Amazon direct).
